The character Merong Haetae was created based on the author's childhood experience of visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace with his mother and searching for the Merong Haetae at Yeongje Bridge.

It is a story that provided emotional comfort to one another as content capable of spreading positive energy during the COVID-19 pandemic, and symbolizes the role of protection and guardianship against infectious diseases, just like the meaning of "Haechi."
