A sci-fi animation that remains unforgettable even as time passes, “Astro Boy”
It was serialized by the master of manga, Osamu Tezuka, from 1952 to 1968, and gained such popularity that it was adapted into many animations, live-action films, and movies in 1957, 1963, 1980, and 2010. As it has been broadcast across all generations, it is a masterpiece that everyone knows.
The live-action version was produced by Mainichi Broadcasting System from 1959 to 1960 and aired on Fuji TV from 1963 to 1966 as Japan's first TV animation series.
A total of 193 episodes were produced in black and white, recording high viewership ratings of over 30% on average. It was broadcast in Japan and Korea and enjoyed high ratings with great popularity, and in January 2010, <Astro Boy: Return of Atom> was produced as a 3D animation in Hollywood.
With a wide range of products including toys, household goods, stationery, and digital items, as well as women's bags infused with a unique sensibility and clothing featuring various designs, it targets a broad age range from young children to kidults.
