Malang Kongtteok Friends
Chirpy who runs the sparrow mill
An imagination born from the saying, “Would a sparrow just pass by a mill?”
"What if there really were a sparrow that lived in a mill and ran a rice cake shop?"

From left to right: Jjaekjjaek-i (nickname: Chapssal-i), Jo, Susu, and Tteok-yojeong (they used grains that resemble their own colors as their names).

Chirpy and his friends who live at the mill
Jjaekjjaek, a baby sparrow raised in a mill, runs a rice cake shop with Jo, a chick who hasn't grown up yet, and Susu, a mysterious kiwi bird, and meets various friends.
The Past Story of Chirpy and Friends (Four-Panel Comic)

The story of marginalized friends
The friends living at the sparrow mill each have their own story.
Jjaekjjaek lost his family in an accident when he was young and, having injured his wings, can no longer fly.
Jo, a chick, failed to become a chicken and, after growing a green comb, decides to find his own life rather than trying to be like others. Susu is a kiwi bird born from an egg that fell from a fruit truck; he was discovered by rice cake fairies and comes to live with them. He has no interest in the secret of his birth and is devoted solely to rice cakes and desserts.
In this way, friends with their own wounds and unique qualities live together in the small space called a mill, considering each other friends, and sometimes family.
